Diving into .NET 8 migrations has been quite the journey,
and I have got to say, it has been an amazing
experience. Migrating to .NET 8 brings better
cross-platform compatibility and improved performance
for your application. There are a few different ways to
do the migrations; for small applications, you are
recommended to use the Big Bang approach (rewrite the
application) aka lock the developers in the room, and
shove pizza under the doorđ. Enterprise projects don't
usually have a large enough pizza budget, and to
mitigate risk, a better approach is to use the Strangler
Fig Strategy (migrate bit by bit).
